How do you ensure the quality of your products?
You can learn about ROPE's compliance systems here. In short, ROPE will meet the quality standards specified by our customers.

Do ROPE products have certifications for their quality and are these certificates available to the customer?
ROPE products are tested and certified for specific quality parameters based on the requirements of our customers. Normally ROPE uses the services of SGS for testing unless any other certifying agency is specifically named by the customer. ROPE shares these test results with its customers as per the customers' compliance requirements.

Can ROPE meet my large volume requirements?
ROPE currently has the capacity to make over one million handmade units per year. If your needs are greater than this, ROPE can establish new dedicated production centers to meet any volume requirements.

How does ROPE ship its products?
ROPE currently has two production hubs in Madurai and Erode districts of Tamil Nadu. Final inspection, packaging and dispatch of products are done from one of these hubs. For final destinations within India, ROPE uses established transportation services or hires dedicated vehicles. For international delivery, products are shipped from either Chennai or Tuticorin ports in Tamil Nadu using the services of regular, well established shipping companies. ROPE ensures all treatment and documentation requirements as per the rules of the country of destination and the needs of the customer, such as fumigation, phytosanitary certification and validation of shipping documents.

How are the products packaged?
ROPE packs and labels products per the customer needs and specifications. In the shipping container, products are typically packed in standard boxes, loaded on pallets, and then put in the container.

ROPE is always looking to expand its portfolio of skills and materials so please contact us with your requirements so we can explore how to fulfill your needs.

If you are social minded, why are you a for-profit rather than a non-profit organization?
The ROPE founders determined that we could have a greater social impact by operating as a for-profit as it will be easier for ROPE to access capital to expand, thereby providing work to more rural workers. Furthermore, some of our global customers are more comfortable and more willing to work with a for-profit. Irrespective of registration as a non-profit or for-profit, the ROPE team is committed to improving the economic and social well-being of rural workers.

I am an individual and would like to purchase one of your products. How do I place an order?
Unfortunately, ROPE is a wholesaler and does not sell to individuals. ROPE is looking to maximize rural social impact and has decided it can do this most effectively by focusing on large wholesale orders.
